Stevie Nicks is one of the most famous woman rock musicians or singers of all-time. As part of Fleetwood Mac she took the world by storm, and then her solo career continued to make serious waves. Her career isn't all in the past though, as in 2011 she released the In Your Dreams CD, which was her first studio release in a decade, since 2001's Trouble in Shangri-La.
Both of those were successful, but it's hard to reproduce the magic she had decades ago, when her debut solo album Bella Donna from 1981 went 4x Platinum in the US and sold over 8 million copies across the globe. Of course, even that isn't much compared to the 40 million copies that Fleetwood Mac's Rumours sold globally.
Stevie Nicks has been on tour a lot in 2011, and hopefully she stays busy in 2012 as well. Earlier in the year she performed with Rod Stewart on the Heart & Soul 2011 US Tour, and then in the spring, summer and fall went on her own solo tour, called the In Your Dreams tour, which will continue with several dates in October.
Stevie Nicks is a legend and her music remains fantastic to this day. Be sure to see a Stevie Nicks concert if you are lucky enough to have the chance, and in the meantime, keep on listening to all of her classic hit singles from her solo days and her days with Fleetwood Mac.
