The Toronto Blue Jays began as an American League expansion team in 1977. By the 1980s the Blue Jays were regularly fielding winning teams. With the opening of their new home, SkyDome, in 1989, the Blue Jays broke attendance records. They won the World Series in 1992, and repeated in 1993.
