There's no team in the NHL with a prouder tradition than the Montreal Canadiens. With 24 Stanley Cup titles in their history, this is a team, a city and a fan base that is used to winning. The fate of the Canadiens will largely depend on their young talent. Carey Price is the goalie they stood behind and are mortgaging their future on so to speak. He's a great player, but needs some more maturity and consistency. If he puts it all together mentally and physically, then the Canadiens will be a very, very good hockey team.

The same goes for defenseman P.K. Subban. Still just 22-years-old, he has already shown a talent for bigtime playmaking and scoring, but also for talking trash and making mistakes. He'll need more of the former and less of the latter this season, and he has some veteran guidance to look to back there, with Hal Gill and Andrei Markov. There are a lot of veterans on the front lines too, like captain Brian Gionta, Scott Gomez, Michael Cammalleri and Erik Cole.
