The Cleveland Browns were all over the map in 2010. At times it looked like they couldn't do anything correctly. Then, at other times, they shocked some of the best teams in the league, and trounced teams like the New England Patriots and New Orleans Saints. New head coach Pat Shurmur and team headman Mike Holmgrem will be looking to see a lot more of the latter than the former in 2011, and a lot of that depends on the precocious play of quarterback Colt McCoy.

All McCoy did in his college days at Texas was win more than anyone else, but then concerns about his size and durability lowered his draft status last year. When the front line quarterbacks for the Browns got hurt though, third stringer McCoy came in, and he showed a lot of spark, great accuracy, and altogether a lot of skill, composure and playmaking ability.

Indeed, the Browns are now hoping that they have their long term quarterback solution with McCoy at the helm, but the team needs to improve on all fronts. With their first two picks of the 2011 draft, they turned to the defensive line, picking Phil Taylor and Jabaal Sheard. On offense, McCoy will be getting help from 2011 Madden cover boy Peyton Hillis, one of the breakout stars of 2010.

With a new head coach, a lot of shake up, and one young quarterback at the reins, Browns fans are hoping for the best in 2011, and as always, Browns tickets will be tough to find in the Dawg Pound.
