The New York Giants went through one of their trademark late season collapses last year. After starting with a great record, they stumbled in the second half of the year, finished 10-6, and narrowly missed the playoffs. The team won a Super Bowl not too long ago, but since, they've been mediocre, and want to change that up for 2011.

Tom Coughlin is back with the Giants after a lot was made of him potentially being fired or let go by the team. But the players and front office supported him, and the coach is ready to put it all on the line again.

The team drafted Prince Amukamara with their first pick in the 2011 NFL draft, jumping a big cornerback prospect who was highly rated and wasn't projected to be available there. He joins a defense with a lot of big names, like Justin Tuck and Osi Umenyiora who produce a great pass rush.

On offense, Eli Manning was turnover prone yet again in 2010, too often making big mistakes. He didn't get a lot of help though, as his skill players were either hurt or underperforming all year. But when healthy, Steve Smith, Ahmad Bradshaw, Hakeem Nicks and the rest offer a good combination of talent for Manning to work with.

So will the 2011 Giants find some of that lingering Super Bowl magic from a few seasons ago? Or will Manning and Coughlin be stuck in mediocrity yet again? The New York media certainly won't settle for that, so expect another pressure packed season for the G-Men.
